BioI'm a former archaeologist, now a freelance editor and stay-at-home mom. My daughter was born February 2, 2005 and my son was born March 7, 2009, so this journal has become a bit preoccupied with them.
Many posts about the kids are flocked and filtered, in order to keep from spamming people here for the fannish stuff. Feel free to ask to be on the filter.
I have an MA in applied anthropology, which entitles me to absolutely nothing, except to think that I'm qualified to comment on any aspect of human endeavor. I'm also a Jewish atheist, and anyone who wishes to debate religion should go somewhere else unless they're willing to completely avoid proselytizing. I shoot proselytizers on sight.
I participate in LJ's First Post program, so if you are concerned about my safety, please direct LJ's abuse team to my first post, which contains complete contact information.
In addition, let me take this opportunity to provide blanket permission for any user to create a transformative work based on my fanfiction. This includes (but is not limited to) remixes, podfic, fanart, or using any of my original characters.
